Cohen & Gill Join The Beltway Bombers

AP (Washington DC) - The Washington D.C. Commuters picked up a pair of 20-year olds in a blockbuster deal with the Oklahoma City Power Failure. Shortstop Phil Cohen and right fielder Rafael Gil will make the trip east to the nation's capital while the Commuters send Nolan Anderson, Sammy Piedra and veteran Cyrus Stanley to Oklahoma City.
Cohen, the 12th pick in the season 9 draft, was the key acquisition for the Commuters as he has a great glove, strong arm and decent speed in addition to the solid bat.
Oklahoma City was intent on getting starting pitching in the deal and came away with a pretty good one in Sammy Piedra. Piedra is an inning-eater (213.1 IP last season) with very good control and a nice 4-seamer and curveball.
